Happy holidays, everybody!
This year, to keep the event small but hopefully encourage maximum participation, we're going to make holiday greeting cards of our simselves (self-sims?) and share them with the rest of the forum! (Unsure what I mean? Check out the greeting card I made for Caitlin for the Halloween event. Like that, only with your simself!)
After all, we're kind of like a small little family here at the forum, right? And the holidays are all about family and friends, so why not let our simselves mingle a little!
RULES
One. You have to use a simself. I assume we all know what a "simself" is, but just in case, a simself is a Sim created in your own likeness. You can use The Sims 2, The Sims 3, or The Sims 4 for this—and if you're really into it, you can even create "yourself" in multiple installments.
Two. You should use photo-editing software to caption your greeting card. Address the "card" to all of the Unofficial BBS, and of course sign it with your own name. Be creative!
Three. Your card can be winter- or holiday-themed. Obviously it doesn't have to be Christmas-themed. ("Christmas" just really worked with the thread title, okay? )
Four. You can make as many greeting cards as you'd like. The more the merrier.
Five. Please include a download link with your simself, and preferably package your Sim with CC. Why? I'd like to be able to download all of the shared simselves in order to put them in one photograph together. If for some reason you are uncomfortable sharing your simself publically, please do send me a PM with the link. (I only own The Sims 2, so unfortunately I will not be able to TS3 and TS4 Sims in my game—sorry!)
Six. Upload your greeting card(s) to a photo-hosting website and post them here in this thread by Sunday, December 28. That gives your just over two weeks to create your simself, take pictures, edit, and upload.
Signups are not necessary, but it'd be appreciated if you could indicate intention to participate! Just so that we can get an idea of how many people might be participating. A participation prize (TS2 only, unfortunately) will be awarded.
