The Bebeess Family: 8.1
{Prologue Introduction}
So, Ethan went through a bit of Maxification. He just wouldn't fit in with my game otherwise. He was given to me in that outfit, but I gave him messy hair to fit with his playful personality. However, I gave him glasses because he has small eyes.
To my surprise (because I was actually really wanting to do this with him), he rolled this gem of a LTW. I originally moved him into my upper-middleclass-suburban area, but I decided to move him downtown with that want.
So here he lives. In my very much WIP town, Zania. I added some trees to give the window background something to look at, because this area of town is pretty bare. What can I say! Rowhouse downtown buildings are a pain to make!
This is what it looks like on the lot. I still haven't gotten a hang of making the lots merge together perfectly, but whatever.
The first floor! He's going to run a flower shop.
The second floor.
The top floor!
So you may be wondering.. how does a lad with only $20k afford something like this? Well, he's 37 thousand dollars in debt, and pays 1% interest every day. (Thanks to the handy dandy mortgage shrub.) Partially cheaty? Maybe. But I don't consider it real cheats because he's paying it back and is paying interest. It's like real life!
The flower shop is really pretty in-game. I love it. I kind of wish I had placed a bathroom for customers to use, but oh well. I want them in and out anyway. Pretty sure the owners are the only ones who use them on my community lot businesses anyway.
So the customers start rolling in! I kind of forgot how sucky of a neighborhood this place is to play a legacy with. It's so full of playables and default townies that the few recent-generated townies hardly ever show!
This would be a good time to mention that Ethan has the OTH of Nature and that I SimPE'd him to give him his recessive blonde hair. I have never dealt with changing a Sim's genetic skin before, so I kept him homogenous for S3. So I am on the lookout for a red head so that we can finally get some genetic variation in these Sims!
Apparently Malcolm Langraab thinks Bebeess' Flowers is a joke. He sat out there laughing at the sign for like two Sim hours. No joke.
Ethan got invited to Downtown by a complete stranger. I kind of liked the server. Pretty sure she's a default in the game, but I've never read a story with her in it as a playable.
*Ply's note: This photo was hard to take. For some reason when I would be in "tab" mode, the camera would sink under the floor in certain areas. It was a pain!
However, this beautiful Sim walked in the next day. Of course, her fashion could certainly use a fix.
Random photo of Ethan talking to the competition who just so happened to decide to buy some flowers!
I decide to invite townie number two on a date and see how it goes. Her name is Wendy Brennan.
She accepts and they go on their first date to a local restaurant/old-time club. (Art Deco, prohibition style.)
Things go well between Ethan and Wendy!
The next day, Ethan invites Wendy on another date. This time at his house, and invites her to move in with him. No time to dilly dally!
Another problem with Zania is that it has a real epidemic of the flu going around. You simply can't play a household without catching it, unless they literally live in a bubble. Comfort soup is gold here.
So, Wendy had the Romance aspiration. Sooooo I decided to random roll anything but. She rolled Popularity. I probably am breaking so many rules, but it's not like I'm REALLY breaking them, you know? I ROLLED. This is a feature IN the game!
Funny that Wendy would be wearing a workout outfit, because she's lazy as heck. Ethan and Wendy are going to be having some lazy kids. Yay. I'll show you more exact stats for her on the next update. (Yes, I forgot lights on this lot. It's really pretty otherwise, I promise!)
AS I WAS LEAVING I SAW SUCH A PRETTIER TOWNIE AND I WAS SO ANGRY.
So here we have Wendy all made over! Now her fashion sense just screams early 2000s.
Finally got around to having Ethan start working on his Flower Arranging badge. He hadn't even touched it yet because he was either lifting his mood or working. We gotta pay down this debt somehow!
It's really nice having Wendy there to help. By the end of the night, Ethan somehow isn't as close to death with her around. (Store hours are from 9 to 5.)
aaaand that's it for now, folks!
